The Interesting Journey Of The Indian Lehenga Saree

I am a south Indian by birth, but I have spent almost all my life in the northern states of this beautiful and diverse country. When I used to go to my hometown during my childhood days, I used to see young women wearing what is often referred to as a davani. What it essentially is a long skirt, worn with a blouse and then a dupatta is draped over the blouse, with one end tucked into the skirt. The dupatta would always be pleated neatly, earning it yet another name – the half saree. Today, most people are referring to it as the Indian lehenga saree!

Although the humble davani or half saree has been around for centuries, the more modern version has appeared on the scene recently. As a matter of fact, the designers who reinvented this age old attire need to be given a salute, because they have managed to combine a sense of the modern with something that is so inherently traditional. Go to a store that offers traditional attires and chances are that you will get to see several versions of the lehenga saree – there will be ones with elaborate blouses and simpler lehengas, ones that are vice versa and then also versions which have intricate work on the dupattas.

There was once a time when a wedding meant buying a traditional Indian bridal lehenga choli but the modern day bride wants something a little more unique and a lot more exclusive. This is perhaps why, many of them are looking at the lehenga saree instead of the traditional lehenga choli. One of the reasons why a lot of women are considering the lehenga saree is the fact that it allows for a lot more experimentation. A saree means that all you can do is change up the way you drape it, and with a lehenga choli there are only so many designs that you can choose from. However, with the lehenga saree, you get the best of both worlds.

If you are looking at investing in an Indian lehenga saree it would be a good idea to look through a fair few options, before picking one that you like. Consider factors such as the material, which should be in keeping with the climatic conditions, the work done, which should be dependent on what the occasion is and of course the price tag. It is also important to remember that you should pick something that will suit your body type and your skin tone.

The Easy Breezy Way Of Getting Your Custom Made Designer Lehenga

When the wedding season arrives or it is time for your own wedding, there are so many things that will occupy your mind. However, the one thing that will take priority is your wardrobe – how you look at all these events is what will matter the most, especially for women. When it is the wedding season, you want clothes that are traditional, yet stylish, allowing you to shine in the largest of crowds. It is at times like these that you will want a custom made designer lehenga, which shows off your curves and makes you look like the diva you truly are.

However, for most people, getting a customised outfit is a matter of trouble, because neither are they sure of where to go for such exclusive clothes nor do they know how much it will all cost. As a matter of fact, most people think that getting custom made clothes is an expensive and tiresome task. The general notion is that you have to go to a high end boutique to get these clothes made, spend several hours to finalise the design and then empty out half your bank balance to finally get your hands on these clothes. There are similar misconceptions about buying a wedding lehenga online – most people are not sure about whether it will be a good enough outfit, whether it will fit them or not and most importantly, whether it will be of good enough quality or not.

A few months back, it was my wedding and even though I was having a dream destination wedding, I knew that I wanted a traditional lehenga choli for my wedding. I had spent a lot of time looking through wedding magazines, trying to zero in on the type of lehenga choli I would wear for my wedding. Friends sent me pictures of stunning lehengas they found on the internet and while I was leaning towards picking out my wedding lehenga online, I wondered about the customisation aspect. That is when I found out about India Emporium where I could have my cake and have it too!

When my best friend told me that she had picked out her own wedding lehenga from this online fashion portal, I was absolutely surprised, because I remembered how wonderful her attire had looked. Now, I was pretty sure that I was going to pick out my outfit from here too and when I found out that here I could even get my custom made designer lehenga, I was over the moon!

How To Choose The Latest Suit Design For Girls

Choosing clothes for yourself and choosing clothes for young girls are not all that different a task; you have to keep pretty much the same rules in mind, while choosing clothes for almost anyone. Let’s say, you see a really nice net salwar kameez design and you think it would look great on your 10 year old niece, but you need to make sure that it is actually a good choice for her first. If your niece is on the plumper side, net might not be a great choice, because net is normally a better choice for people who are on the slimmer side.
Similarly, just because you see a latest suit design for girl, it does not mean that it would be the perfect choice for your little one too. You need to take into consideration the height, weight, body structure and even the skin tone of your little one. In addition, you also need to keep in mind, the actual nature of your daughter or niece or whichever little girl you are looking to pick out the outfit for. For instance, if the girl is tomboyish in nature, then buying something dainty would make absolutely no sense, because she might not be able to carry it with ease. However, if the little one is the type who likes dressing up, then purchasing something in net or something frilly and girly would be a good choice.

Similarly, when you are looking at the latest suit design for girl, you need to make sure that it is made in a material that is suitable for the active lifestyle that your eight year old daughter has. So, if she is someone who loves to run around, even at a wedding, then you need to look at fabrics that breathe and will allow her to have fun. However, if you are attending a winter wedding or an event that will be out in the open, you might want to look at materials that will keep her warm, without compromising on style.

If your heart is set on the net salwar kameez design, make sure that it is crafted to suit your little one’s body and temperament. Pick out a silhouette that will make her look great, choose a colour that suits her skin tone and make sure that there are embellishments and design additions that make her look like the princess she really is!
